Homeless Shelter Support for Victoria Native Friendship Centre
Dear Community Members,
Once again, the Victoria Native Friendship Centre will be offering guests an overnight seasonal shelter in our gymnasium at 231 Regina Avenue from November 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020.
Guests will be driven to the Centre from the downtown core every evening through connection to our outreach worker. Once they arrive at the Centre, they will be offered a hot shower, clothes washing facilities, clean pajamas and a hot meal. They will be provided with a hot breakfast in the early morning before they are driven back downtown at 7 am.
We are asking community members for the following gifts for our guests so they can survive the winter:
- Rain Gear
- Winter Coats
- Gloves
- Hats
- Waterproof Boots
- Razors and Shaving Cream
- Pajamas – preferably cotton
