UNDRIP strategy for City of Vancouver approved by Council
On October 25th, 2022, council passed the City of Vancouver’s United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) Strategy following a unanimous motion to create a UNDRIP Task Force in March 2021. The task force, in partnership with Musqueam Indian Band, Squamish Nation, and Tsleil-Waututh Nation, developed the strategy and 79 calls-to-action outlined in the report.
